What is it?

Also known as eyelid surgery, it is a procedure that seeks to remove  excess skin from the upper eyelid and bags under the eyes.

This procedure is performed for aesthetic and functional reasons. The latter is performed when drooping skin of the upper eyelids reduces the visual field.

Before the surgery

It is decided to perform a blepharoplasty, by:

  • Correct excess skin on the upper eyelids .

  • Eliminate bags under the eyes.

  • Rejuvenate the look.

  • Loss of visual field.

Face-to-face assessment must be carried out directly with the specialist, and determine the results that you want to obtain, remember that each specific case is totally different, each person will obtain a different result.

During surgery

This surgery can last between 1 to 2 hours and is performed under local anesthesia, or local anesthesia + sedation.

When it comes to the upper eyelids, the first thing that is done is infiltrate subcutaneous anesthetic solution and proceed to eliminate excess skin and extract fat bags. The skin is closed with an extremely fine suture, so that the scar is imperceptible.

When working on the lower eyelids, the first thing that is done is to remove the fat bags and then remove the excess skin after infiltration of anesthetic solution.

After surgery

It generates a disability of 8  days and with  some restrictions for 30 days  you must follow all post-surgical recommendations to obtain optimal results.
